The "Groupe d'Etudes sur l'Hemostase et la Thrombose " (GEHT: Study Group on Haemostasis and Thrombosis) is a scientific society, affiliated to the Societe Française d'Hematologie (French Society of Haematology).
Members of the GEHT are mainly University staff, researchers, physicians or medical personnel,and biologists working in public or private institutions.
Staff of pharmaceutical companies involved in the haemostasis and thrombosis fields may also belong.
The GEHT organizes Scientific meetings, elaborates guidelines or recommendations and favours rearch by giving grants to young researchers working in French research groups

The aim of the GEHT web site is to provide information for people working in clinical practice or research in the thrombosis and haemostasis fields.

The principal items within the web site are:

"Annuaire des membres" is the register of GEHT members : name, professional address, telephone, fax and e-mail with a direct link for electronic mail.

"Agenda" is a diary of the major forthcoming scientific events that involve haemostasis and thrombosis and provides a list of congresses on haemostasis, haemophilia, cardiology, angiology and vascular disease. A direct link is provided to the e-mail of the organizers and, when it exists, with the web site of the congress (or the organizing committee).

"Liens autres sites" provides links with scientific sites that can be of interest for physicians or scientists working inn haemostasis or related fields.

"Partenaires" gives information on companies that provide financial support to the activities of the GEHT.

"Ecrivez-nous" provides a link with the e-mail of the GEHT secretary: info@geht.org and a panel of specialists regularly answer questions on haemostasis.
